YOKOHAMA, JapanNissan Motor reported a net profit of 3.7 billion yen ($24 million) for the April-June quarter, marking its return to profitability on a quarterly basis for the first time in two years. This improvement is attributed to better business performance and rigorous cost management.

The automaker is continuing its Re:Nissan business restructuring plan while launching new models including the Leaf EV, Kicks compact SUV, and Elgrand premium minivan. Nissan remains committed to achieving profitability for the full fiscal year ending March 2027, which would be the first profitable year in three years.
