As NFL training camps open across the United States, anticipation builds for the release of "Madden NFL 27," set to launch in just over two weeks. EA Sports unveiled its latest player ratings on Wednesday, spotlighting the top 10 players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver.

Reigning league MVP Matthew Stafford of the Los Angeles Rams and Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen headlined the quarterback group, both earning a coveted 99 rating and securing spots in the exclusive 99 Club. Although Stafford and Allen tied for the top quarterback rating, Stafford was listed ahead in the category.

Other notable quarterback ratings include Joe Burrow at 97 and Baltimore Ravens' Lamar Jackson following closely. At running back, Christian McCaffrey earned a 97 rating after a strong season, with Jonathan Taylor and Bijan Robinson rated 95.

In the wide receiver category, Cincinnati Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase and Jaxon Smith-Njigba both received perfect 99 ratings. Meanwhile, Jahmyr Gibbs narrowly missed the 99 Club with a 98 rating.

Earlier this week, a player expressed his ambition to join the 99 Club before the year's end, stating, "If I get my completion percentage up, I'll be a 99." He added, "That's how everybody feels about it. I don't throw picks, I'm not a pick guy, never been a pick guy. Throw a few more touchdowns, keep the picks down and then just get the completion up."

The ratings release has sparked early debate among fans and analysts as the countdown to Madden NFL 27's release continues.
