Israeli soldiers have intensified their operations in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, raiding at least 20 towns and villages. These raids involved home demolitions and the arrest of dozens of Palestinians.

Al Jazeera reporters on Monday, July 27th, 2026, detailed that Israeli forces stormed the Jabal Salman area in Beita, south of Nablus, and carried out demolitions in Nilin, west of Ramallah. Additional raids and arrests occurred in Deir al-Ghusun, north of Tulkarem, where five Palestinians were detained, and in the Balata camp and Asira al-Shamaliya in Nablus, where four young men were arrested, according to Quds News.

Al Jazeera’s Nida Ibrahim reported that Israeli settlers continue to attack Palestinians, mostly at night in their homes, creating an atmosphere of intimidation. She noted that Israeli forces often respond by arresting Palestinians rather than restraining the settlers. Palestinians reportedly feel trapped and defenseless, with no protection against settler attacks, which are allegedly supported by the Israeli army and carried out with impunity.

Since October 2023, the Israeli military has killed nearly 1,200 Palestinians in the West Bank, according to figures from the Arab League. This is in addition to over 73,000 Palestinians killed in Gaza during ongoing conflict.

The Arab League and Arab states have condemned the escalating violence by settlers against Palestinians and their property.
