Kimberley Le Court wins Tour de France Femmes stage as Marlen Reusser keeps overall lead

Kimberley Le Court of Mauritius overcame earlier difficulties to emerge victorious in a reduced sprint and win stage six of the Tour de France Femmes, as Swiss rider Marlen Reusser held on to the overall lead with three stages remaining.

Le Court joined a small breakaway group 10 kilometres from the finish, launched her sprint with 300 metres to go and held off French rider Cedrine Kerbaol on the line, with Puck Pieterse of the Netherlands coming in third.

The 30-year-old Le Court suffered a mechanical before the final climb and had to change bikes, but, thanks to her teammates, made it back in time to launch her telling move.
