Three boys accused of attacking and killing a Melbourne man who rescued a teenager from a machete attack have pleaded not guilty to murder.
Police allege Aidan Becker, 22, was on his way home from work in March when he was set upon by a man and three boys at Mernda train station.
The cases have been transferred to the Supreme Court, and a directions hearing is now scheduled for August 26.
