A popular outdoor education program has been temporarily shut by Mount Barker District Council, which organisers say came as a "shock".
Last week Forest School SA was ordered to cease operating at Anembo Park in Mount Barker due to property and safety concerns that the council said were identified during a site inspection.
Program founder Bell Gower said she received an email from the council ordering "all Forest School activities at the site cease immediately while the matter is being considered".
