On Thursday, August 27, 2026, the body of an unidentified person was found inside the wheel well of an aircraft at Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 2 (KLIA2). The flight had arrived from Tokyo, Japan, landing at approximately 6:30 a.m. The body, dressed in jeans and a white shirt, was discovered around 6:55 a.m. by engineering personnel who were tasked with opening the aircraft’s wheel well. The staff noticed a suspicious foul smell before opening the compartment, leading to the discovery.
The matter was promptly reported to the KLIA2 police station operations room. Police forensic teams were deployed to the scene to conduct further investigations. The gender of the deceased has not yet been determined.
