Singaporean police conducted a raid last week on the local office of iron ore trader Radiant World and questioned several employees, according to sources familiar with the matter. The action is part of an ongoing investigation into the company's transactions after some counterparties raised concerns about allegedly falsified documents.

Several major commodity traders have since cut ties with Radiant World amid worries that the company provided invalid invoices or other documents to its banks.

The Singapore police confirmed they were investigating Radiant World as of Thursday, August 20th, 2026, noting that reports had been lodged against the trader but did not disclose who made the complaints. Investigations are ongoing, and further details have not been released.

Radiant World declined to comment on the situation but stated, “The company is engaging with the relevant authorities, and it would not be appropriate to comment further while those processes are ongoing.” The company also said it would not litigate its affairs through the media.

In addition to Singaporean authorities, the US Justice Department and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission are investigating transactions involving Radiant World and its creditors.
