The contest for Pennsylvania’s governor has escalated with both Democratic incumbent Gov. Josh Shapiro and Republican nominee Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity releasing attack ads accusing each other of supporting data center developers.
According to an August poll conducted by the New York Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, and Siena, Garrity trails Shapiro by 15 points. The ads highlight the candidates’ competing claims regarding their stance on data centers, a contentious issue in the state.
The race remains a focal point of political debate as both nominees seek to sway voters ahead of the election.
