American singer and rapper Post Malone has postponed his upcoming concert in Hong Kong, originally scheduled for September 16 at the Kai Tak Stadium. The announcement was made on social media by concert organiser Live Nation Hong Kong on Thursday, August 27, 2026. The statement did not provide a reason for the postponement but assured fans that full refunds would be available for tickets purchased through official platforms.
The 31-year-old artist's show was set to take place at the 50,000-seat stadium, with ticket prices ranging from HK$699 (US$90) to HK$3,199. The postponement has sparked frustration among fans, particularly those from mainland China, many of whom had already applied for holiday leave and booked hotels in anticipation of the event.
On popular mainland social media platform RedNote, one user expressed disappointment, saying, “I’ve already applied for my holiday leave and booked my hotels.” Another user criticized the brief announcement, stating, “They just said ‘postponed’ in a single sentence, zero concern for our flight tickets and hotel bookings,” while some speculated whether ticket sales had been underwhelming.
