The 2026 PGA TOUR season wraps up this week with the TOUR Championship held at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia. This marks the second year that all 30 players in the TOUR Championship field start at even-par, following the discontinuation of the unpopular "starting strokes" format used from 2019 to 2024.

East Lake Golf Club, a par-70 course stretching 7,455 yards and designed by Donald Ross, has been the venue for the TOUR Championship every year since 2004.

Chris Gotterup, Hideki Matsuyama, and Russell Henley are headlining the outright and top-10 betting picks for this year's event. Gotterup, in particular, is noted for offering good value as he is less favored compared to other contenders like Tommy Fleetwood, Patrick Cantlay, and Ludvig Åberg.

In a significant development for the PGA TOUR, commissioner Brian Rolapp announced earlier this week a new postseason format set to begin in 2028. The new structure will feature the top 90 players competing in a final stroke-play event, which will serve as the first round of the playoffs. Following this, the top 32 players will advance to a two-week, match-play TOUR Championship.

The 2026 TOUR Championship at East Lake Golf Club continues to be a pivotal event in the PGA TOUR calendar, blending tradition with upcoming changes to enhance competition.
