TOKYO — Terra Charge, a Japanese operator of electric vehicle charging stations, will begin installing equipment compatible with Tesla’s charging standard starting in fiscal 2028, according to Nikkei Asia.
The company aims to build a network of 2,500 North American Charging Standard (NACS) chargers across Japan by fiscal 2033. This move is intended to capture increasing demand from Tesla vehicle owners in the country.
Terra Charge’s initiative marks a significant expansion of Tesla-compatible charging infrastructure in Japan, supporting the broader adoption of electric vehicles.
