Escorts Kubota, an India-based subsidiary of Japan's Kubota, has begun constructing a new manufacturing plant in Uttar Pradesh, India. The facility is expected to have an annual production capacity of up to 60,000 tractors and 15,000 construction equipment units upon completion of its first phase.

This expansion is part of Kubota's strategy to significantly scale up manufacturing capabilities in India and increase exports to key markets including Europe, Africa, and North America, particularly the US. The move aims to secure a price advantage in these competitive regions.

The investment in the $200 million plant underscores Kubota's commitment to leveraging India as a manufacturing hub for its global operations.
