Enes Kanter Freedom, a former NBA center, has been banned from attending Chicago Sky WNBA home games after a verbal altercation with Sky guard Natasha Cloud during a game against the Indiana Fever on Sunday, August 24, 2026 (Monday AEST).

The incident occurred late in the third quarter when Cloud scored and then chest-bumped teammate Aicha Coulibaly before turning toward Kanter Freedom. Following the confrontation, Kanter Freedom was ejected from the game.

Chicago Sky owner Michael Alter announced the ban at a news conference on Tuesday, August 26, 2026. Alter described Kanter Freedom as "a potential threat," stating the 34-year-old came to the game to "see how much attention he could get." He added that Kanter Freedom will not be allowed inside Wintrust Arena for Sky games "unless sometime in the future, he's able to prove to us that he's able to abide by our rules without being a potential threat."

Kanter Freedom and Royce White, another former NBA player, have declared for the 2027 WNBA draft, identifying as women. Kanter Freedom responded to the ban by tweeting, "I just got kicked out of a @WNBA game for supporting WOMEN!"
