Israeli forces shot and killed one Palestinian east of Deir el-Balah in central Gaza on Saturday, August 10th, 2026, according to the Qatar News Agency (QNA), which cited medical sources. Palestinian health authorities also confirmed another death after a body was recovered from beneath rubble in the war-torn enclave.

At least five people, including children, were wounded in Israeli attacks in the southern Gaza cities of Khan Younis and Rafah on the same day, QNA reported.

Gaza’s Health Ministry stated that since the conflict began in October 2023, the overall death toll has reached 73,386 Palestinians, with 174,250 wounded.

On Sunday, August 10th, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that Israel has rejected United States President Donald Trump’s 15-point plan for Gaza. Netanyahu told a cabinet meeting that Israeli forces “will not carry out any withdrawal until Hamas is genuinely disarmed.”

This stance aligns with the US-led Board of Peace's position from the previous week, which declared that an Israeli withdrawal would only proceed once Hamas’s disarmament is complete. The terms of the ceasefire and any timeline for Israel’s exit from Gaza remain unresolved as casualties continue to rise.
