A drone strike on the Novoselki industrial zone outside Moscow killed five people and wounded ten others, according to Moscow's regional governor Andrey Vorobyov. The attack caused several fires in the area, Vorobyov said early Tuesday, local time.

The strike is part of a series of long-range Ukrainian attacks targeting civilian infrastructure in Russia. In recent weeks, Ukraine has intensified drone strikes on warehouses belonging to Wildberries, a major Russian e-commerce platform often called the "Russian Amazon," which accounts for up to 10% of Russia's retail turnover.

Wildberries reported a fire at its Krasny Bor logistics facility near northwestern Russia following a drone attack, which also wounded one person, according to Leningrad regional governor Aleksandr Drozdenko. Another Wildberries warehouse in the rural area of Emmaus, about 180 kilometers northwest of Moscow, was also targeted, regional governor Vitaly Korolyov said.

Ukraine frequently launches hundreds of drones into Russia nightly in retaliation for Russian drone and missile attacks on Ukrainian towns and cities.

On Monday, Russian authorities reported 11 deaths from drone strikes on a popular Russian holiday destination and the Crimean Peninsula. Among the casualties were two children and an elderly woman killed in Russian guided aerial bomb strikes on Sumy.
