On Tuesday, August 4, 2026, Swiss cyclist Marlen Reusser, the reigning world time trial champion, won the individual time trial stage four of the Tour de France Femmes. Riding for Movistar, Reusser completed the 21-kilometer course from Gevrey-Chambertin to Dijon in 27 minutes and 30 seconds.

Her performance earned her the yellow jersey, taking it from Norwegian rider Sigrid Haugset, who had secured it with a solo victory the previous day but finished more than three minutes slower in the time trial and dropped to fourth overall.

Reusser took a 14-second lead in the general classification over former champion Demi Vollering of the Netherlands, who finished third on the day. Vollering, riding for FDJ United-Suez, made a strong push in the final kilometer but was 18 seconds slower than Reusser. Lieke Nooijen of As Visma-Lease a Bike finished second in the stage, four seconds behind Reusser.

Reusser expressed her satisfaction, saying, "I’m super, super happy ... it’s the first Tour de France that I really saw as my goal of the year that I really targeted."

The race continues on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, with a 140-kilometer hilly stage from Macon to Belleville-en-Beaujolais.
