Dallas Cowboys owner, president, and general manager Jerry Jones has indicated he is open to the idea of sharing ownership of the NFL franchise with Mark Cuban, the former majority owner of the Dallas Mavericks. Jones told The Dallas Morning News that he would be "open" to Cuban co-owning the Cowboys through his private equity firm, Harbinger.

Cuban also expressed willingness, stating he was "sure our Harbinger fund would be open" to the idea.

Jones emphasized the importance of choosing the right partner, saying, "But we’d also be very particular in who we would bring in as a partner in terms of that." He praised Cuban, noting, "He’s in addition to financial boatstreams of your team, you want to associate with the highest quality of [a person] who loves the game and then also at the same time wants to do something about it. Mark leads the way in that."

Jones added, "That’s exactly why if you’re me, you would be open to that is because of the man. I have all the respect in the world for him and I know what he did for the Mavericks and what he’s done for basketball."

The Dallas Cowboys are currently valued at approximately $13 billion, making them the most valuable franchise in North American professional sports, according to Forbes.
