Ethan Suplee, known for his roles in "Remember the Titans" and "My Name Is Earl," has issued a warning about the growing craze surrounding GLP-1 weight loss drugs. While these medications have become wildly popular among millions of Americans, Suplee cautions that they are not a "one-stop shop" for weight loss.

Reflecting on his own decades-long battle with obesity, Suplee shared that he once weighed nearly 500 pounds and ultimately lost around 300 pounds through years of diet and lifestyle changes. He emphasized that lasting weight loss required more than medication, highlighting the importance of changing his relationship with food and building healthier habits.

"And I kind of spun my wheels for 15 years on these yo-yo diets simply because I didn't communicate," Suplee told Fox News Digital. He stressed that sustainable success comes from resistance training and healthy habits rather than relying solely on medication.

The actor also noted that while GLP-1 drugs are a significant piece of the weight loss puzzle, they should be part of a broader approach to long-term weight management. This caution comes amid reports of side effects, such as those detailed by Mayim Bialik, who experienced weeks of debilitating symptoms after one injection of a GLP-1 drug.

Suplee, now 50 years old, began dieting as early as age five and later took control of his health at age 24. He has undergone multiple skin-removal surgeries and currently hosts weekly discussions on his show about health and wellness.
