Vincent Pastore, best known for his portrayal of Salvatore "Big Pussy" Bonpensiero on the hit HBO Max series "The Sopranos," died at the age of 80. His death was confirmed by his manager, Robert Attermann, who told Fox News Digital that Pastore passed away at his home in The Bronx either on July 31 or August 1, 2026.

Attermann, who represented Pastore for over 30 years, said, "To the world, he will always be remembered as the unforgettable 'Big Pussy,' but to those of us who knew him, he was so much more." He added, "He genuinely appreciated the people who supported him and always made them feel valued."

In addition to his iconic role on "The Sopranos," Pastore appeared in several notable films including "Goodfellas," "A Bronx Tale," "Carlito's Way," "Gotti," "Once Upon a Time in Brooklyn," and "Mickey Blue Eyes." His television credits spanned popular series such as "Blue Bloods," "Law & Order," "General Hospital," "Bull," "Pair of Kings," "Hawaii Five-0," and he most recently lent his voice to an episode of "Yellowjackets."

Pastore also participated in reality competition shows like "Dancing with the Stars," "Celebrity Fit Club," and "Celebrity Apprentice."

His role as Big Pussy was central to the storyline of "The Sopranos," where his character was a key member of Tony Soprano's inner circle before betraying him.
