Houston Rockets forward Tari Eason has filed for a domestic violence restraining order against his ex-girlfriend, 32-year-old Marilyn Maritza Melo Rodriguez. According to court documents obtained by Fox News Latest, Eason alleges Rodriguez physically assaulted him by punching him in the face during an argument after he drove her home at her mother's request.
Eason further claims Rodriguez went to his Airbnb residence and poured liquid bleach over his designer clothing, causing approximately $92,000 in damage. Additionally, Eason states that a caller warned him Rodriguez would "break both of my legs" and "kill me."
Eason, the 17th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, is entering his fifth NBA season and has been a key player in helping Houston emerge as a rising team in the Western Conference.
