On Thursday, July 30th, 2026, the Australian women's team pursuit squad advanced to the gold medal race against New Zealand during the cycling events at the Commonwealth Games velodrome. The New Zealand team mounted a strong challenge, briefly closing the gap to just over a second, but a powerful final lap saw Australia finish 0.2 seconds ahead.

Meanwhile, the men's team sprint will not face former teammate Matthew Richardson, who controversially defected to England, as he was ruled out due to injury.
