Elizabeth "Liz" Waddell, a 44-year-old physical therapist from the Raleigh area of North Carolina, has gone missing while vacationing on the Caribbean island of Grenada. She was last seen on Wednesday, July 23, 2026, at Grand Anse Beach in St. George's, near the Grand Anse area where she was staying, according to the Royal Grenada Police Force.

Waddell is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall with short blonde hair. She is the founder of Art of Movement Physical Therapy and holds a doctorate in physical therapy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A friend who has known Waddell and her husband for more than 20 years told WRAL News that Waddell traveled to Grenada for a vacation with another friend.

Her husband described her as "a loving, free-spirited person" who "could make friends with anyone. She often did." He also noted, "She had her swimsuit on, and she went outside their Airbnb."

The Royal Grenada Police Force has urged anyone with information to contact the South Saint George Police Station at 444-4454, the Criminal Investigation Department at 440-3921, the police emergency line at 911, or the nearest police station.

Separately, authorities have charged a Kentucky man with boating under the influence following the disappearance of a 19-year-old female passenger, though this case is distinct from Waddell's disappearance.

The search continues as family, friends, and authorities seek her safe return.
