Multiple people were wounded on Sunday, July 27th, 2026, in a mass shooting incident at the Seattle Center, according to the Seattle Police Department.
The shooting occurred shortly after 6 p.m. local time while the venue was hosting the Bite of Seattle food festival. Police and emergency crews responded promptly to the scene.
Eyewitness Kayla Carris, 22, said she was sitting outside the Armory at the Bite of Seattle when people began to scream and run for cover inside the Seattle Center Armory. Todd Behrends, 59, reported hearing what sounded like several rounds of gunfire. He also saw a woman on the ground and a man on a stretcher as he exited the area.
One witness described the chaotic scene, saying, "Everyone was just throwing stuff and running."
As of now, police have not confirmed whether any suspects have been taken into custody. Fox News Digital reached out to the Seattle Police Department for further information.
Separately, multiple injuries were reported after a floatplane made an emergency landing and caught fire off the Washington coast, though this incident is distinct from the Seattle Center shooting.
