Multiple Iranian state media outlets, citing an unidentified source, reported that Tehran had forced back six ships attempting to pass through the strait on Monday without clearance from Iran. The source stated, “As previously announced, the traffic route in the Strait of Hormuz is the route specified by Iran, and other routes are contaminated and have no way out.”
On Saturday night, July 25th, the U.S. and Iranian militaries did not exchange fire for the first time in nearly two weeks amid back-and-forth strikes triggered by alleged violations of a ceasefire agreement signed in June. An Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson confirmed via social media that no new attacks had taken place. Hossein Kermanpour, an Iranian health ministry official, wrote in a post translated from Persian, “It seems our dear Iran had a peaceful night last night, and no part of its body was struck or hit. Iran’s body is intact.”
