On Wednesday evening, Iran-backed Houthi Yemeni rebels claimed attacks against two Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea. This development comes amid ongoing US military strikes against Iran.

The following day, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards announced they had stopped three oil tankers attempting to cross the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

In the United States, President Donald Trump attended a dignified transfer ceremony in Delaware for four US service members killed in the Iran conflict. Three of the soldiers died in an Iranian missile attack on a military base in Jordan, while the fourth was killed in a separate incident in northern Iraq.

President Trump also issued a warning to Iran, threatening to destroy civilian infrastructure such as bridges or power plants each time Tehran attacks shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
