Ukrainian drones have struck warehouses belonging to Wildberries, Russia’s biggest online retailer, injuring eight people in the latest attack. The company’s CEO, Tatiana Kim, announced on Wednesday, July 22nd, 2026, that logistics centres in the southern Russian cities of Krasnodar and Nevinnomyssk were evacuated following the attacks. This comes days after workers were killed in an earlier assault.

Vladimir Vladimirov, governor of Stavropol Krai, reported on Russia’s state-run Max platform that a warehouse complex near Nevinnomyssk caught fire after a drone attack. Meanwhile, Robert Brovdi, Commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces, said Ukrainian drones had struck 13 Russian vessels in the Black Sea and Sea of Azov over the past 48 hours.

Al Jazeera’s Audrey Macalpine, reporting from Ukraine, described these attacks as part of Ukraine’s "40-day influence operations" aimed at pressuring Russia to return to negotiations through long-range drone strikes deep inside Russia and on the Black Sea.

In related developments, outgoing Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskii stated that Ukraine has recaptured 700 square kilometers (270 square miles) of territory this year. Concurrently, Oleh Syniehubov, governor of Ukraine’s Kharkiv region, reported that Russian attacks over the past 24 hours targeted 15 settlements, resulting in three deaths and 11 injuries, including two children.
