Darline Graham Nordone, who succeeded her late brother Lindsey Graham in the U.S. Senate, announced on Monday, July 21, 2026, that she will run for a full six-year Senate term in the November election. This announcement came during an exclusive interview on "Hannity," where she outlined her political priorities.

Graham, who was appointed to fill the remainder of her brother's term after his death on July 11, 2026, said, "I've got to step in and carry on his legacy." She expressed a deep understanding of her brother's commitment to South Carolina, stating, "I know he cared about the people of South Carolina so deeply."

Unlike Lindsey Graham, who was known for his focus on foreign policy, particularly the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Darline Graham plans to prioritize domestic issues. She emphasized focusing on "groceries, gas prices, and health care" and addressing the day-to-day concerns of South Carolinians. Reflecting on her brother's frequent national security discussions, she said, "I used to see him on the talk shows. I would watch him and I'd be like, ‘Lindsey, are you just talking about national security all the time?'"

Since 2019, Darline Graham has served as a commissioner for South Carolina’s Commission for the Blind, overseeing a $90 million budget, bringing experience in state-level public service to her Senate role.

Her appointment followed Governor Henry McMaster's decision last week to have her serve out the remainder of Lindsey Graham's Senate term until January 2027. With her announcement to seek a full term, she aims to continue representing The Palmetto State with a focus on issues that matter most to its residents.
