Darline Graham Nordone announced on Monday, July 21, 2026, that she will run for a full six-year term in the U.S. Senate this November. She is currently serving out the remainder of her late brother Lindsey Graham's term, who passed away on July 11, 2026. South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster appointed her last week to fill the seat until January 2027.

In an exclusive interview with "Hannity," Graham outlined her political priorities, stating her intention to focus on domestic issues such as groceries, gas prices, and health care rather than foreign policy. She noted that unlike her brother, who was passionate about ending the Russia-Ukraine conflict, she plans to emphasize the day-to-day concerns of South Carolinians.

"I've got to step in and carry on his legacy," Graham said during her first interview since Lindsey Graham's death. She expressed confidence in her ability to serve, saying, "I feel like I can do it. I feel an inner peace about it."

Since 2019, Graham has served as a commissioner for South Carolina’s Commission for the Blind, overseeing a $90 million budget. She spoke about the importance of addressing issues that matter to the average person, reflecting her focus on kitchen-table concerns.

Graham's announcement marks the beginning of her campaign to represent South Carolina in the Senate for a full term, succeeding her brother in representing The Palmetto State.
