A conservative super PAC focused on artificial intelligence policy, Defending Our Values, has launched its first campaign investments by supporting two Republican candidates in pivotal House races ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

The PAC is backing Rhett Marques in Alabama's 2nd Congressional District and Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer in Florida's 25th Congressional District. Singer has officially announced his run for Congress in Florida.

Republicans currently hold a slim majority in the House, making a small number of competitive races critical in determining which party will control Congress after the midterms. According to a source familiar with the PAC's plans, Defending Our Values views these contests as key opportunities to help Republicans maintain their majority.

The $15 million election effort, announced last week, had not previously disclosed which candidates would receive support. The PAC selected Marques and Singer because it believes they will be strong advocates in Congress for challenging Big Tech, enhancing online protections for children and families, and advancing policies to help the U.S. maintain technological leadership over China in artificial intelligence innovation.

The PAC's spending aims to assist both candidates in emerging from crowded Republican primaries and to increase their name recognition ahead of the November general election.
