Idanna Abignente, an 82-year-old Italian woman, has earned the title of the world's oldest pole dancer. She competes regularly, performing pole moves designed for much younger women. Abignente began pole dancing about 12 years ago when a friend of her son's opened a studio in Turin, Italy.

Despite her age, she remains active and passionate about the sport, which she describes as demanding and "not one for the weak." Abignente noted, "I always win because there aren’t any other competitors over 80," and expressed a desire to meet others in her age group who share the sport.

She maintains an Instagram account where she showcases her performances, attracting tens of thousands of followers. Far from settling into typical retirement activities, Abignente continues to defy expectations by rocking a two-piece outfit and hanging upside down on the pole.

Reflecting on her unique path, she said, "I'm not sure how I got on the old lady pole dancing beat, but I'm here."
