Volunteers in Venezuela have made a giant cake to bring some cheer to approximately 3,000 children displaced by last month's powerful twin earthquakes. The earthquakes have resulted in a tragic loss of life, with the death toll surpassing 5,000.

The disaster has claimed at least 5,069 lives and left an estimated 1.8 million people in need of humanitarian aid, including 680,000 children. Efforts to support the affected population continue as the country copes with the aftermath of the seismic events.

This initiative to create a giant cake aims to provide a moment of joy and comfort to the young survivors amidst ongoing recovery challenges.
