The United States conducted a seventh wave of airstrikes on Iran overnight on Friday, July 17th, 2026, despite warnings from Tehran that it would resume "full-scale offensive operations" if the attacks persisted.

US strikes targeted key Iranian infrastructure, including bridges and a port surveillance tower. This prompted Iranian officials to, for the first time, cite "attacks on power infrastructure" and urge the public to reduce electricity usage.

In response, Tehran launched attacks on US military sites located in the Gulf region, specifically in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar. The strikes damaged a desalination and electricity plant in Kuwait.

Since June 22nd, 2026, Iran has reported that 38 people have been killed and more than 400 injured due to US strikes.
