During her speech, Hanson criticized Australia's immigration levels and environmental policies, stating that the country had "gone woke". She also expressed concerns about London's multicultural communities, saying, "London, no thank you," and added that Australia was "about five to 10 years behind England, in where we are headed." She remarked that while Britain had many beautiful areas, its capital was not one of them.

The 72-year-old politician also spoke at a better-attended gala dinner the previous evening, though media were not invited. During her trip, Hanson attended a Dolce & Gabbana fashion show in Sicily with her friend and political benefactor Gina Rinehart.
