The conflict between the United States and Iran has intensified following US President Donald Trump's declaration 10 days ago that the peace deal with Iran was over. This announcement came after Iranian attacks on tankers near the Strait of Hormuz.

On Saturday, the US military’s Central Command (CENTCOM) announced it had carried out another wave of overnight strikes targeting surveillance sites, military logistics infrastructure, underground weapons storage, and maritime capabilities in Iran. These strikes marked the seventh consecutive night of US attacks on Iranian targets.

As a result, a desalination plant in Jask, southern Iran, was hit, leaving approximately 10,000 people without water. Hamzeh Pour, chief executive of the Hormozgan Water and Wastewater Company, told the Tasnim news agency that a seawater pumping station and a power transformer at the Bunji desalination plant were completely destroyed, depriving 20 villages of water.

In retaliation, Iran launched drones and missiles targeting US-allied Gulf states. Kuwait announced the closure of its airspace early Saturday after two power and water desalination plants were reportedly hit by Iranian attacks. Meanwhile, Jordanian authorities reported intercepting 10 Iranian ballistic missiles.

Satellite images have also shown damage inside Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant, further highlighting the escalating nature of the conflict.

The situation remains volatile as both sides continue military actions, raising concerns over regional stability.
