On Friday, July 17th, 2026, United States President Donald Trump delivered a primetime speech alleging significant vulnerabilities and cover-ups in the US electoral system. Trump claimed that starting during the 2020 election cycle, the People’s Republic of China carried out what he described as "the largest compromise of election data in history," stating that "tens of millions of voters’ data in 18 states have been bought, stolen or hacked by China."
