Mike Collins, the Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate in Georgia and a Trump-backed candidate, has close ties to his son-in-law, David Alan Scheer II, who has been identified as a white nationalist influencer. Collins, a trucking executive and former member of the Freedom Caucus, has represented Georgia’s 10th congressional district since 2023.

Collins has faced controversies including accusations of antisemitism, which he denies, and has publicly rejected the legitimacy of the 2020 election while defending January 6 rioters, stating they deserved pardons. He secured the Republican nomination in June 2026 but is considered an underdog in the November midterm election against Democrat Jon Ossoff.

According to CNN, Scheer is registered to vote at a property owned by Collins in Georgia, has appeared in Collins’s campaign photos, and attended Collins’s victory party after the primary.

Scheer’s online activity includes sharing antisemitic conspiracies and Nazi imagery. In June 2025, he posted on Instagram a meme featuring a family with a baby and an eagle, overlaid with the text “I want to make babies not die for Israel,” captioned “If you haven’t noticed, we all have a common enemy.” The image originates from a 1930s Nazi propaganda poster stating, “The Nazi party protects the people’s community.”

On Telegram, Scheer posted antisemitic infographics blaming Jews for gun control, abortion, the LGBTQ movement, and pornography. He has also claimed Jews were responsible for the assassinations of JFK and conservative activist Charlie Kirk, the 9/11 attacks, and repeated conspiracy theories about Jeffrey Epstein being a Mossad agent.

In a November 2025 podcast, Scheer warned that white people were being driven toward extinction and advocated for “clearing our land of other people” to restore an America populated by white Europeans.

Collins has denied accusations of antisemitism and extremist associations despite the controversies surrounding his son-in-law.
