Several Palestinians were injured in separate attacks by Israeli settlers across the occupied West Bank on Thursday, July 16th, 2026, amid escalating violence linked to the ongoing conflict in Gaza, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa.

In one incident, Israeli settlers beat a 30-year-old man in Abu Njeim, southeast of Bethlehem. The assailants also stole the family’s sheep before Israeli forces arrived, assaulted residents, and arrested seven people.

Additionally, a 16-year-old Palestinian boy was shot in the chest by Israeli forces in Bani Naim, east of Hebron, as reported by Wafa.

Citing figures from the Palestinian Prisoners’ Media Office, the Anadolu news agency reported that Israeli forces arrested 32 people across the occupied West Bank on the same day.

Last month, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) stated that Israeli settlers had attacked Palestinians or their property an average of six times a day so far this year, marking the highest rate on record.

These incidents occur amid Israel's intensified siege and military operations in the region.
