HANOI — Vietnam is actively seeking global capital to finance an estimated $1.5 trillion in infrastructure investments over the next decade. This initiative supports the country's goal of becoming a high-income economy by 2045, moving beyond reliance on its domestic banking system.
A key element of this strategy is the Vietnam International Financial Center in Ho Chi Minh City, which plans to attract investors from 2027. The 55-story Saigon Marina skyscraper will serve as one of the main buildings for institutions participating in this financial hub.
Vietnam's push for international funding reflects the shortfall in domestic resources needed to meet its ambitious infrastructure targets.
