Spain manager Luis de la Fuente stated that his team has recaptured the spirit of their 2010 World Cup triumph after their commanding 2-0 victory over France on Tuesday, July 15th, 2026, which secured their place in the final. This win leaves Spain just one victory away from claiming their second World Cup title.

Spain, who won their first World Cup 16 years ago, successfully neutralized a France attack that had scored 16 goals before the semifinal and was considered one of the tournament’s most dangerous.
