Sixth Form students across Hong Kong received their results for the Diploma of Secondary Education (DSE) exams on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. Among the 24 top scorers was an almost entirely blind student who plans to become a legal advocate for vulnerable groups. Additionally, four other top achievers were motivated to study medicine after experiencing childhood illnesses or witnessing friends suffer.

Nine of the top scorers hope to attend the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), three have applied to the University of Hong Kong (HKU), and eight remain undecided. Among the remaining four top achievers, two plan to pursue HKU’s double-degree programme in business and law, one has chosen a double-degree in government and laws, and another will study computer science at Oxford University.

Five elite schools produced more than one top scorer, with St Paul’s Co-educational College leading with a record-breaking five top scorers. Po Leung Kuk Laws Foundation College in Tseung Kwan O, HKBU Affiliated School Wong Kam Fai Secondary and Primary School in Sha Tin, and Shatin Tsung Tsin Secondary School all celebrated their first top scorers.

These students’ achievements highlight resilience and a commitment to careers focused on giving back to society.
