The team narrowly missed a national championship earlier in the year, falling short by a Carson Beck interception at their home venue, Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.

Many conference and national media members share the view that the 2026 season will be a showdown of Miami versus the rest of the field.
