Police are investigating two separate drive-by shootings in Melbourne's north-west suburbs of Kealba and Gladstone Park overnight on Tuesday, July 15th, 2026.
The first incident occurred just before 11:15pm on Payne Street in Gladstone Park, where a shooter fired at a residential home. Later, at about 5:15am, a shooter opened fire on a house on Rowan Drive in Kealba from inside a vehicle.
The Kealba home was targeted for the second time in less than a week. The previous attack happened six days earlier, on Thursday, July 9th, when five people were inside the house. During that incident, the offender fired about four shots through the home's glass front door before fleeing in a white SUV around 1am. No injuries were reported in either attack, though the front door was punctured by bullets.
Residents expressed concern and fear over the shootings. One remarked, "She's been really concerned and a bit scared, I guess, because of what has happened," and added, "There could've been someone who could have gotten hurt because of this." Another comment highlighted the uncertainty surrounding the motives, stating, "There's definitely something going on here that we don't know about."
Police continue to investigate whether the two shootings are connected as the community seeks answers.
