Meanwhile, in Asia, several countries are recovering from devastating storms and floods. In China, a landslide buried at least 16 people. Additionally, dozens of cities across the United States are expected to set new heat records this week.

Experts including Alexandre Borde, an environmental economist and CEO of Cibola Partners, and Benjamin Horton, Dean of the School of Energy and Environment and Professor of Earth Science at City University of Hong Kong, emphasize the growing risks posed by these weather extremes.

These events underscore the urgent need for countries worldwide to enhance preparedness and resilience against increasingly severe weather patterns.
