On July 2, 2026, former President Donald Trump posted an AI-generated social media video depicting himself as a doctor claiming to have cured several prominent celebrity critics of the fictional "Trump derangement syndrome" (TDS). The video included hyper-realistic deepfake footage of celebrities such as Rosie O’Donnell, Whoopi Goldberg, Edward Norton, Julia Roberts, and Robert De Niro, who expressed regret over their opposition to Trump.

In the video, a deepfake Robert De Niro states, “I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t sleep, constantly angry. I made everyone miserable around me.” AI "Dr Trump," wearing a white coat and stethoscope, admits uncertainty about helping those with TDS but promotes his "treatment plan."

Outside the AI portrayal, Rosie O’Donnell maintained her critical stance, stating, “He’s quite ill—and getting worse daily. The 25th amendment exists for exactly this reason. Remove. Impeach. Convict.”

The video was deleted following backlash from high-profile Christian commentators and allies who deemed the image blasphemous. White House spokesperson Davis Ingle defended the post, affirming that sharing it was Trump’s "right."
