Blake Lively is seeking $8 million in legal costs from actor and director Justin Baldoni following their acrimonious dispute over the production of their 2024 film It Ends With Us. According to a court filing on Tuesday, Lively’s legal fees amount to nearly $7.5 million from two law firms, with an additional $500,000 in other expenses.

The dispute was settled last month just before a trial was scheduled to begin in federal court in Manhattan. Lively had accused Baldoni of sexually harassing her during the film's production and claimed he orchestrated efforts to damage her public reputation and credibility. Baldoni, who directed and starred alongside Lively in the dark romantic drama, denied these allegations.

Although Lively received no monetary settlement, a judge ruled she is entitled to recover some legal costs incurred after Baldoni filed a countersuit against her. One of Lively’s lawyers, Michael Gottlieb, stated in a court declaration that he charged an average hourly rate of $2,187—a discounted rate from his usual $2,795—and billed 224 hours defending her against Baldoni’s countersuit, totaling $457,000 in fees.
